The mission of the KAESP, the collective voice of Kentucky's elementary and middle level principals, in partnership with other education leaders, is to develop citizens that can succeed in a global society, by delivering to our members a network for support, professional development, visionary leadership, and by pro-active involvement in shaping education policy.

In Memory of Connie Hayes Daub
Connie Hayes Daub passed away on December 26, 2012 after courageous battle with cancer. Connie was a past president of KAESP and served as the treasurer for many years. Connie began her teaching career in Grayson County, She also taught in Hardin County before becoming the principal of Liberty Elementary in Oldham County. In 2007, Connie became the principal of Carter Traditional Elementary in Jefferson County. She retired from this position in 2011. Connie will long be remembered for the passion and enthusiasm she brought to education. She loved being a principal and touched the lives of many children and adults. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Congratulations to Rosie Young, Kentucky's National Distinguished Principal for 2012. Rosie is the principal of Watson Lane Elementary School in the Jefferson County Public Schools District.
