The mission of the KAESP, the collective voice of Kentucky's elementary and middle level principals, in partnership with other education leaders, is to develop citizens that can succeed in a global society, by delivering to our members a network for support, professional development, visionary leadership, and by pro-active involvement in shaping education policy.

Congratulations to Mary Evans, Kentucky's National Distinguished Principal for 2013. Mary is the principal of Cumberland Trace Elementary School in the Warren County School System. Mary has provided outstanding leadership to her school and to KAESP, having served as President and Regional Representative. Education for gifted and talented students has long been a passion of hers. Mary will be going to Washington, DC this October to be recognized at the NAESP NDP celebration. Way to go, Dr. Evans!
