Purposes
MISSION
The mission of the KAESP, the collective voice of Kentucky's elementary and middle level principals, in partnership with other education leaders, is to develop citizens that can succeed in a global society, by delivering to our members a network for support, professional development, visionary leadership, and by pro-active involvement in shaping education policy.
PURPOSES
- To consider the needs and interests of elementary and middle level principals.
- To represent elementary and middle level principals as state education legislation and policies are
decided.
- To provide elementary and middle level principals strong representation on the KASA Board of
Directors.
- To link Kentucky's elementary and middle level principals to NAESP.

- Affiliations with the National Association of Elementary School Principals and the Kentucky Association of School Administrators. KAESP also collaborates with the Kentucky Department of Education and the Kentucky Education Association to provide networking opportunities and regional meetings for Kentucky principals.

- Professional Development and Networking Opportunities - An annual fall and summer conference is held each year to inspire and inform elementary principals. Workshops are also provided on issues of concern to elementary and middle level principals.

ORGANIZATION AND AFFILIATIONS
The KAESP Executive Board is dedicated to representing the needs of Kentucky principals. The role of each Board member is reflected in the KAESP Mission Statement.
KAESP is an affiliate of the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) and the Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA).
KAESP collaborates with the Kentucky Department of Education and the Kentucky Education Association to provide networking opportunities and regional meetings for Kentucky principals.
